Hello, I'm Rhiana Laws
I'm a Dance Health Artist and avid lover of water, wild swimming and the moon.
Working at the forefront of Scottish participatory practice in Arts & Mental Health, my central motivation is to:
provide safe and inspiring spaces
for people to connect with their body and inner self
through movement and dance
...and if I'm not there, I'll be in a river somewhere!
I take an intuitive approach to working with individuals and groups, rooted in 20+ years delivery and facilitation experience in community, prison, education, health & social care settings. My practice supports individuals and groups navigate trauma, challenge and life extremes through indoor and outdoor projects on land and in water.
I trained professionally in Contemporary Dance (BA Hons Dance Theatre, Laban, 2001). Ever evolving from a deep experience base of movement, choreography, behavior communication, trauma informed practices, Janzu, water dance, sharing circles and energy healing I am inspired to support individual and community creative, physical, mental and emotional health.
