Woven Kinship CIC
Woven Kinship CIC formed in direct response to community feedback following an impactful collaboration with Connecting Threads in 2023-24.

Forged at the intersection of arts and environmentalism, Woven Kinship works to support, enhance, inspire and improve the wellbeing of the waters, lands and communities of the river Tweed. We understand ‘communities’ to encompass place, purpose, human and more than human species.

We offer water and land-based participatory arts-for-wellbeing engagement activities, projects and events along the river Tweed.

At present we rely 100% on funding from local awarding bodies. The projects and events we offer are announced using our team's network of local social media and good old posters in the community!

Who do we serve?
Community Projects
Participation & Engagement
We are taking one step at a time, listening to the human voices we have connection with, reaching out to those we are yet to connect with, and using our awareness of the local environment to consider the more-than-human voices and what they may be saying or asking.

Our
Story
Get to Know Us
Rhiana Laws, Huia Takau & Verity Harvey-Brosnan became close friends swimming year-round in the River Tweed.
We wanted to combine our gifts in dance health, photography, plants and biodynamics to conjure a way to work within our local community. Our intention is to cultivate curiosity, connection and care for the local to the global lands and waters, by providing informative and educational experiences with a creative twist.

We appreciate the support and creative genius of Cameron Hall who creatively consults behind the scenes, offering his expertise in community immersive theatrical events.
